Organic Flour - Uses, Nutritrional Information and Recipes

Marriage’s have milled a range of fully organic flour for bread and cake making since 1986 and select organically certified wheat from farms across the UK and the world. The company has supported organic growers for over 40 years, and when American strong wheat became available in 1986 we started making all organic bread flour.

Organic flour production, from selecting seeds right through to milling, is strictly regulated by independent certification bodies. Farmers are required to demonstrate traceability and prove that they have grown wheat without the use of artificial chemicals.

Marriage’s flours are certified by the Organic Food Federation, which defines organic production as:

Organic production is fully sustainable and environmentally sound. Organic produce is traceable from the farm to the fork because at every stage of its journey it is inspected and certified.  This ensures the integrity of any product marketed as organic.

Marriage’s produce seven organic flours:

Organic Strong White flour

The organic version of Marriage’s Strong White flour is certified by the Organic Food Federation and uses wheat sourced from organically certified farms.

Organic Country Fayre Malted Brown flour

A malted flour produced by adding small kibbled grains to brown flour, for a delicate malted nutty flavour. High in fibre, this has the goodness of added bran and malted wheat grains. Ideal for making tasty bread rolls and bread with a delicious malted texture, also olive bread, sultana and malt loaf, scones and tea breads
